Chelsea have completed the signing of Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, the Premier League club have announced.
The French international has signed an 18-month contract at Stamford Bridge and joins the Blues for a reported £18million fee.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Giroud said: “Chelsea is one of the biggest teams in the Premier League.
“They have won maybe the most trophies in the last six or seven years. It’s a massive club and I am proud to sign for Chelsea, and I’m looking forward to playing.”
Giroud’s move to Chelsea has been followed by official confirmation of Michy Batshuayi’s loan transfer to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old will wear the number 18 jersey at Stamford Bridge.
