Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season.
The Blues have allowed the Belgian international to depart after completing the £18million transfer of Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.
Batshuayi told Dortmund’s official website: “In order to reach my big goal [of going to the World Cup], I want to play as much as I can and score many goals. In summer, the World Cup takes place.”
Dortmund have secured the 24-year-old as a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who finalised his £55million move to Arsenal on Wednesday morning.
Batshuayi will wear the number 44 jersey at the Westfalenstadion.
